Have you had your pumpkin spice latte yet this year? What about your pumpkin spice cocktail? Well, I’ve got you covered!
I’ll be honest, I have kind of burned out on pumpkin spice lattes. I love pumpkin as much as any girl and occasionally I’ll still ask the barista to add 1 pump of pumpkin when I’m ordering my coffee at Starbucks but for the most part, I’ve moved on to other fall coffee flavors. I am, however, loving pumpkin cocktails like this Sparkling Pumpkin Spice Cocktail. If you’re having a Halloween party or hosting Thanksgiving this year, this cocktail is going to make an amazing addition to your holiday menu.
A few years ago when I was hosting Thanksgiving at our home, we found ourselves running an accidental cranberry theme for almost every course. We didn’t do a very good job at coordinating who was bringing what dish to our party so we had multiple cranberry cocktails, cranberry sauces, and cranberry desserts (like these cranberry bars). Our Thanksgiving turkey even had a cranberry garnish! Fortunately, no one complained because we are big cranberry lovers over here and it resulted in a funny holiday story.
This year I’m thinking about running a purposeful pumpkin theme so we can incorporate iced pumpkin bread, pumpkin pies, and this Pumpkin Spice Cocktail. This Pumpkin Spice Cocktail is extremely easy to put together but it looks quite fancy. It’s also very easy to make as a virgin cocktail if you want to allow the younger ones to indulge as well.
Serve over ice, and enjoy!
