Our Christmas cards from Minted have arrived (on ugly sweater day at work, haha) and I’m loving them so, so much. I know you all probably expected to see a picture of our dogs on the cards but…surprise!!! there’s not a furry face to be seen. I grew out of the photo holiday card trend a couple of years ago so this year I just wanted to send a simple, sweet message to my family and friends along with an update on Brandon and I (and our move to Missouri).
This year, I really wanted to go with a traditional Christmas card with a beautiful message on the cover, a sweet personal note inside, and the extra little details that make it feel extra special. These Peace & Love holiday cards were exactly what I was looking for this year and I was so excited when I found them. They are darling!
When I first started looking at Minted for Christmas cards this year I initially had my eye on this card which doubles as a moving announcement. I went all the way through the process of customizing the card, viewing the digital proof, and setting the extra details for my envelopes before changing my mind. I had intended to send out moving announcements when we first moved in June but just never seemed to get around to it. When I saw the moving announcement card I thought, “Yay! I can kill two birds with one stone!” (I mean…feed two birds with one scone, I guess). But, by this
If you want to add photos to your cards, Minted makes it easy to do just that. This particular style of card allows you to add photos to the interior or the back so it can be two-sided – a Christmas message on the front and a photo card on the back!
I usually try to get my Christmas cards sent out by December 1st so they arrive early and everyone has time to enjoy them. Any cards I receive in the mail are displayed on rows of twine in the living room and it makes me so happy to have them up. I know friends and other members of my family enjoy displaying cards too so I usually do my best to get them out early in the season. This year I’ve pretty much been running at least two weeks to a month behind on everything.
I’m not sure how long I can continue to blame the huge move and my big career change for running behind schedule, making mistakes, and being exhausted but in this case, I’m doing it again. I still don’t feel like I’ve totally found my footing since moving here but I’m hoping that after the holidays I’ll feel like I can breathe and regroup the way I need to. One of my new year goals is to finish unpacking everything and replace a few pieces of furniture. Hopefully, that’ll make me feel settled in and organized.
Just know that if you’re expecting a card from me this year, it’ll be on its way soon. I hope you love it!
Thank you to Minted for providing us with these gorgeous complimentary Christmas cards! We hope you love them as much as we do.
