It’s not even officially summer yet but we are already having one of our best summers ever. We’ve been to the Missouri Botanical Gardens, visited the Cahokia Mounds, taken trips to the dog park, and spent lots of time poolside. We have plans coming up for road trips with the dogs and a weekend camping trip. After a long harsh winter we’re feeling grateful for warm summer days and spending as much time as possible outside. As an extra bonus – my dogs are shedding their winter coats outside rather than in my house.

Tebow hardly sheds at all but Wilkins sheds like nobody’s business! He’s a beagle/chihuahua mix and since neither breed is known to shed that much I didn’t expect him to shed much either. Well, that was a huge mistake because he sheds more hair than any cat or dog I’ve ever had. I’m constantly finding little tumbleweeds of dog hair in the corners and under furniture. His summer shedding is the worst because he’s getting rid of that extra winter coat. During my last trip to Sam’s Club I made sure to stock up on Swiffer Sweeper Dry Pad Refills because God knows I’m going to need them!

My Swiffer Sweeper is the best cleaning tool I have in my arsenal because it cleans up every mess my dogs could possibly make – fur balls, muddy paw prints, potty accidents, and more. We went on a long walk a few nights ago because the weatherman said there was only a 10% chance of rain and the sky looked clear and bright. Guess who got caught in a rainstorm on the walk home and ended up with two dogs tracking muddy paw prints all over her hardwood floors? Yep…but fortunately the mess wasn’t that big of a deal to clean up because the Swiffer Dry Pads have thick grooves and ridges which are perfect for picking up any mess. With 86 pads in each package, it’s a great time to stock up at Sams Club so you’re prepared for all the messes coming your way thanks to your four-legged besties.

When it comes to keeping my home clean, Swiffer Sweeper Dry is definitely my (not so) secret weapon and I’m clearly not the only pet parent who feels that way (just ask the parents of these adorable dachshunds). If you’re not already a Sam’s Club member it’s worth the membership (starting at only $45!) and you can get a great deal on these Swiffer Sweeper Dry Pad refills! Visit Sam’s Club or to stock up and keep your house clean and pet-mess free this summer!
