Since our last bourbon craft cocktail was so popular I decided to share another bourbon craft cocktail recipe with you today. This is the Cran-Orange Sparkler and also features Coopers’ Craft Bourbon since I had plenty left over from the complimentary bottle they sent me to try the Bourbon Blackberry Rickey. If you haven’t had a chance to try that one yet I suggest hopping over there to grab the mixology recipe because it’s delicious! I love blackberry-everything and that cocktail quickly became a treat I love to make myself on the weekend.
Despite my love of blackberries I have to admit the Cran-Orange Sparkler, suggested by Cooper’s Craft Bourbon mixologist Michael Ring, is my favorite of the two. It may be because we’re in the middle of the holidays right now and the festive little cranberries in this one won me over. No matter, you can’t ever really go wrong with a Bourbon craft cocktail and they are both delicious.

The Cran-Orange Sparkler cocktail recipe from Coopers’ Craft Bourbon is another of their bourbon + bubbles recipes. It features Coopers’ Craft (the bourbon) and sparkling water (the bubbles) which combine to create a delicious citrus-y cocktail that is perfect for your holiday party. This has already taken a prominent place at the top of our Christmas Day menu as our featured cocktail. We featured a cranberry cocktail last year as well so I was originally hoping for something else this time around but the orange sets this off perfectly. I don’t expect any complaints from anyone we’re hosting.
Another great thing about this bourbon cocktail is that, like the Bourbon Blackberry Rickey, it avoids artificial sweeteners and unnecessary sugars. Anything I can do to avoid extra sugar during Christmas is a win, right?
This bourbon craft cocktail uses fresh cranberries for the drink and the garnish so I just set aside a few handfuls when I’m making my homemade cranberry sauce. Can you tell we’re big cranberry lovers over here? haha. I’m sure I’ll be sipping on this one all winter.
To make this Bourbon Blackberry Rickey you’ll need:
**Please drink responsibly.**
- 1.5 oz Coopers’ Craft Bourbon
- .50 oz Simple Syrup
- 6 ea Fresh Cranberries
- 2-3 oz Orange Flavored Sparkling Water
- 2 dash Orange Bitters
- 1 ea Orange Twist skewered with fresh cranberry
- In a cocktail shaker, crush the cranberries to break the skins with the back of a spoon or a muddler.
- Add Coopers Craft Bourbon, simple syrup, and ice, then shake for 15 seconds to combine and chill.
- Strain into a coupe or flute and top with Orange Flavored Sparkling water, 2 dashes of orange bitters, and garnish with orange cranberry twist.
- For the mocktail version replace the bourbon with lemonade
