Meet Ashley

Ashley is a software analyst, plant lover, and dog mom from the suburbs of St. Louis, MO. She spends her days trying to keep the plants alive, dog hair off the furniture, dinner on the table, and her deadlines met – all while keeping a smile on her face.

After growing up in south Florida and moving around the south and the east coast, she settled in St. Louis, Missouri to pursue a career and started Honey & Pine Co as a creative outlet to share life as a modern dog mom focused on supporting cruelty-free brands and businesses.

When she’s not working or creating plant and pet-focused content here, you’ll find her front row at a Cardinals game, on the road, or curled up with a good book and her cheagle, Wilkins.

Meet Wilkins

Wilkins is a 6 year old cheagle (beagle / chihuahua mix) who is obsessed with cuddling under warm blankets, eating too many cookies, tearing apart squeaky plush toys, and taking long road trips. He was adopted from a rescue at 10 weeks old and has been smothered with love and attention. He may be a wee bit spoiled (it depends on who you ask).

He’s scared of strangers and other dogs but he’s working hard on becoming a very good boy (VGB). Follow along with his life and adventures on Instagram using his hashtag, #thatVGBlife.

About Honey & Pine Co

Honey & Pine Co is a cruelty-free lifestyle blog for plant lovers and dog moms. Here, Ashley and Brandon share their adventures in life and travel with dogs. Through partnerships with brands such as Ooma, I and Love and You, Airfree, Pet Magasin, Apt2B, Pete and Gerry’s, and more, Honey & Pine Co has become a go-to destination for cruelty-free life on the web.

We also believe in chasing paradise and never leaving the dogs behind. It’s our mission to share our journey living and traveling with dogs on our blog. You will love Honey & Pine Co if you :

  • Enjoy cooking homemade meals for your family and your dog
  • Design your home with pet-friendly materials and textiles in mind
  • Accept that dog hair is an unavoidable accessory to your wardrobe
  • Make travel arrangements around pet-friendly hotels and destinations

Together, we’re going to embrace life being #dogmomaf and learn how to live and travel (happily) with the dogs in tow.

The brand has also worked with non-profit partners to promote breast cancer awareness, international literacy, and clean water to impoverished nations. Currently, 10% of all profits raised by Honey & Pine Co are donated to Freedom Service Dogs. In addition to our online and social presence, Honey & Pine Co has also been featured on media outlets and publications such as My FoxNews DC, Scary Mommy, The Huffington Post, and more.
