We are getting so close to lovers day! Valentine’s Day is less than a week away which means if you haven’t finished your shopping you need to get on that asap. It also means that if your boyfriend/husband is a last-minute shopper like mine is you may need a handy little gift guide (like this one) to help encourage him with some great Valentine’s Day gift ideas.
I’m not-at-all subtle when I’m giving my husband gift suggestions for Valentine’s Day. I will literally tweet or text him a link and say, “Buy me this” and I have no shame about it. Actually, I’ll send him 3 – 5 links so you can ultimately choose so there is still at least a tiny element of surprise. That doesn’t work for everyone but it makes it easy for him and I get what I want.
This year I’m really feeling rose gold and silver so most of my gift ideas are in those colors but it’s gorgeous so I’m not apologizing. I told my husband that in 2017 I want to focus on investing more into my purchases so maybe I won’t buy as many things but I’ll have more quality things. I mean, I’ve wanted a Kate Spade tote bag forever but I was never sure about spending $300+ for it however, if I bought it in place of 3 $100 bags I’d have what I wanted and not be spending more money.
It’s a shift in mindset really. It’s about convincing myself that I deserve it and that it’s ok to invest into myself especially considering how hard I work all year. I treated my Valentine’s Day gift guide for her with the same mentality. I wanted it to focus on rewarding yourself and recognizing that you deserve to invest in yourself and treat yourself because, dang it, you work hard and you deserve to be fabulous!
Here are a few of the things I’m especially loving this year…
What is on your Valentine’s Day gift wishlist this year? What’s your favorite item on my list?
