Who’s up for a Halloween scavenger hunt?! I have spent so much time trying to figure out how Brandon and I can enjoy Halloween without dressing up, without attending a party, and without having children. It’s tough. It’s like everything I come across is either about going to a crazy haunted house, attending a dress-up party, or kid-friendly events (which…well…obvi, right?). I was starting to feel really left out over this holiday and wondering, “What’s out there for us?” I mean, what’s out there for childless couples that want to enjoy the holiday without having the piss scared out of them with a bunch of teenagers at a raging haunted house downtown? Then it struck me, I’ll plan a Halloween scavenger hunt!
Doing a Halloween scavenger hunt lets us get outside and enjoy being around the festivities but still have our own thing going on. Brandon isn’t exactly 100% onboard with the idea quite yet but I’ll bring him around, I’m sure of it. 😉 Once he’s out there searching for stuff with me, he’ll have a good time. I put together two Halloween-themed hunts for this post so you can pick your poison (see what I did there 😉 Ha!). The first one is easier than other but if you’re up for a challenge, I have you covered. If you’re really feeling it, you could print off multiple copies and make a challenge out of it with family and friends.
If you decide to go out on a hunt I’d love if you’d share some of the pictures on Instagram and use my hashtag #honeyandpineco so I can follow along.
Ready? Here they are. Just click the image to open the printable PDF. They are free and there’s no need to subscribe to get the files.
If you’re the kind of person who is up for a challenge during their Halloween scavenger hunt then you’re totally my kind of people! Brandon and I prefer to get out there, explore, and search when we’re on a hunt. The second one probably requires that you drive around a bit, get out of your car, and dig in deep so fill a thermos with hot cider, pack some snacks, plan a scary music soundtrack, and take lots of pictures!
And, one more time, if you take pictures of your adventure I’d love it if you shared them on IG using my hashtag #honeyandpineco so I can follow along. Good luck and Happy (almost) Halloween!
